In the age of Pinterst, it is nice to find a well done tutorial how-to book that is easy for all ages to enjoy. What I find the most valuable is that many of her clever techniques translate across to other mediums. This is such a colorful book that just makes you happy to sit and read it. My 10 year-old read it cover to cover and is already working on some of the techniques. This is a perfect addition to any maker's, homeschooler, teacher, or grandma's library. Be a great book to add to a gift along with some of the tools and supplies listed.

I was expecting something different. But this is actually better than what I thought I was getting. It has lots of techniques including different media that I never thought of like paper, stickers, beads and more. Also using different kinds of pens, I thought wouldn't work, like watercolor pens, crayons, alcohol, and more. Great photography and easy to understand instructions. All-in-all I'm really glad I got it.

I have been painting rocks for several years. I have bought tons of products over the years that I had no idea how to utilize on rocks. I also have a collection of books on rock decorating but this book, by far, outweighs them all. It is very comprehensive and I now an using products that have been in boxes for s couple years. I love this book and refer to it constantly

I'm one of those artists who can usually find all the inspiration and instruction I need via Pinterest and YouTube. When I decided to try painting rocks, I came upon this book. Honestly, I didn't really think I needed it. I was wrong. It's a great little book, and I highly recommend it if you want to paint rocks. I learned so many great little tips and the style is so approachable. The author has so many great full color samples that it inspired me to try new ideas. (p.s. follow her on IG too, she's great). I was able to make several rocks as gifts this Christmas. Buy this book - you won't regret it.

This book is well written and makes the art projects look easy. I am not much of artist, but I think by following these clear instructions, I make some really cool gifts. Thanks Samantha! The photos are amazing and book is very well illustrated.

This book is blunt, a shock, and exactly what I needed to wake up and see what men are really like and what they think about us.Luckily I read this book previous to meeting a man at a concert. Found out on the 2nd date that he had a cocaine addiction, almost lost his job, owns nothing after working for a good company for 28 years, and now addicted to other things that drain his wallet, and has an STD.He couldn't wait until the 3rd date because then we could go all the way! Who made up that rule? But it's in the book.The book really helped me out. And I reread it alot and wrote key things down so I would remember.The book made me realize that I'm pretty awesome, doing great, and I don't want a guy at all!They just want to use us!

This book truly changed my love life in a way that no other book, seminar or workshop has. I was single for over a decade. About 3 months after reading this book, multiple guys were wanting to get serious with me and about 10 months after, I met a wonderful guy, and we're in a healthy, loving long-term relationship. Part of why I was single for so long was me and my issues (such as trust, abandonment, fear of divorce, daddy issues, etc). Part of why I was single was also due to living in major cities like DC & NYC, where the culture places career first, relationships 2nd or 3rd, and the pool of men were happy to stay single and unattached for as long as possible. I spent years working on myself trying to attract an amazing relationship - I had a lot of work to do, and I buckled down and did it. I think of this book as the final tipping point for me to develop into a person who can attract amazing relationships. This book is a bit of tough love, but it's so worth it because it pushes you to be honest with yourself about your behavior. It compares and contrasts two types of women - placeholders and game changers, and clearly shows what the behaviors are of these two types are. The book lays it out as simple as "Do This" or "Don't do This." If you read this book, and truly study it and make changes in your mindset and behavior, you will see results. I littlerally would read over certain chapter before going on dates and it was a huge help. As someone who has read almost every book under the sun about relationships & dating in addition to taking courses and working with private dating coaches, this book truly lays out the best content to make a real change and transformation in finding the love that you deserve.

I read this book for the first time about two and a half years ago, started to practice it, got mixed results, read it again, internalised some more, got a little better results and repeated until I met a man who has managed to rock my world and make all my girlfriends jealous for a bit more than a year now. He did test me in a variety of ways and I could have never ever ever ever gone through the first five or so dates being so self-confident, unbothered and enjoying myself in the process had I never had GL's book.GL taught me everything that my parents never did and helped me find the peace of mind and confidence that I never thought I had. Through stumbling and a couple of failed attempts, little victories and a massive amount of self discovery I learnt to accept the amazing person that I was and commit to becoming the person I was always meant to be.As for the men.. My younger self could have never imagined that some men absolutely love to spoil their women, granted, if you let them! There are no guarantees of anything in life but this experience has given me the confidence that I can attract and retain a man of that caliber - if not even better.Update a month later: we're engaged now.

It was the end of the series and dealt with where the country was heading and how people were adjusting and what was beginning to happen to the Indians because of the expansion. Marie is an interesting character but although she is so strong in facing life's challenges, she is very weak in standing up for herself and letting go of hurt. She carries a lot of guilt and blame for her one son and spends a lot of time pining over him when he truly isn't worth it, which also pushes away the good people in her life. I enjoyed the first two books in the series immensely. It was still interesting and I learned a lot about the era.

This is another book in the series of 3 on the history of Madame Dorion or Walks Far Woman. She is an amazing woman. Although all three books are fiction based of fact, still they are very accurate. She was a real person, really had much of whats in the books happen to her. I highly recommend these books to anyone who wants to know what living in the Northwest was really like for women, Native American women and children. Also as to how the people we celebrate as being such great american Icons, like John Jacob Astor, John McLoughlin, and others of the American Fur Co. Astors Fur trading co. as well as the Hudson's bay co. All was not what we think. These books shed light on the amazing courage and stamina of the women of 1800's til now. We should be honoring these women for the courage they faced in the wild as well as dealing with hardships they faced among the forts, men, trappers and fur traders. Native men treated their womem with far more dignity and respect then many would be led to believe. Walks Far Woman is a testimony to this.

I recently finished the 3-book series and savored each book. The story is fantastic, but the author’s telling of it is even more rewarding! Jane Kirkpatrick is a master storyteller! I spent a long time reading the 3 books because I had a heartfelt need to savor and meditate on each one. My copies are now highlighted, notated, and underlined. I highly recommend them all!

This is Book Three in the series. Make sure to read Book One and Two. This book focuses on the last part of Marie's life. It is based on a true frontier story. The novel includes: lost sons, grandchildren, death, faith, conflicts, disease, the lives and loves of her children, daily life, and more. Excellent! This series and this book deserves an A++++++++

Did not realize I already have this book because I buy Jane Kirkpatrick's books whenever I see them so they do not go out of print and I haven't read them.

Love her books. Read all this series and was so enjoyable. Felt like I was in the story. Hard to put down.

I recommend this book to all people that enjoy history. However, I would start with the first one, which I did not. However this is well worth your money spent. It keeps you reading.

I don't want to spoil anything, but my major questions from the other 2 books were answered.I was so sad for the story to end!
