Ryanair Customer review

Never again! the moment we arrived at Birmingham airport I thought what have we done!! Every check in desk had a small orderly queue, except The Ryanair desks which were in total chaos. Considering you have to check-in online and print your own boarding cards (£40 fee each if you forget), what is the hold up?? There were hundreds of people queuing for various Ryanair flights and only 2 members of staff on the desks. One then disappeared so it took us one hour just to check in!! we made the flight just in time after queuing at security for ages, no seats are reserved you just have to sit where you can, difficult when you have kids. The plane was filthy and my seat was covered I grease and chocolate. Return flight was a similar story, check-in was even longer, baggage restrictions for hand luggage are pathetic and staff were really rude on the flight. Ryanair just confuse the public with their so called low cost flights, which don't work out any cheaper when charges are added at the end and you get a awful flying experience for the privilege.

I travelled with my my family of 6 to Calella. The flight was great and so were the cabin crew but I was very disappointed with the way we were treated on boarding, I paid for priority boarding only to find people who had not on the plane before us. The way it was handled was a disgrace, I paid £48 thinking I was going to get leg room seats which did not happen as passengers behind us were just allowed to run past us.

We have just returned from the UK to Corfu. The flight and onboard service was good but the treatment we received whilst at the departure gate was shocking and totally unacceptable. I was travelling with my husband and 3 year old son, boarding at 5.30am. We specifically paid for priority boarding prior to arriving so that we could be sure that we would all sit together during the flight. As we proceeded to board, the air hostess stopped us and asked us to check that one of our cabin bags was the correct size for boarding. She gave no help or assistance, she exhibited no compassion or appreciation that it was a stressful and difficult situation.

Dublin to Mogan (Gran Canaria). 2 weeks before I was due to fly, I received an email to notify me our flight would be leaving at 6.30am instead of 2pm. If there had been some unforeseeable difficulties I could understand, but moving over to their winter schedule is foreseeable. My other issue with this flight was that the cabin crew were continuously selling. I timed them at one point and they were making announcements about items on sale every 10-15 mins, I felt harassed and could not relax with continuous interruptions. I felt mistreated by them changing our flight time by 8 hours due to winter scheduling and overselling products onboard.

The flight from Liverpool to Lanzarote was terrible from start to finish. The crew basically squeezed us into the plane, we ended up being separated, the seats were uncomfortable but the worst thing was, the constant selling by the crew, every few minuets peddling something, be it food / drink or duty free. It was exactly the same on the return journey, only a different set of ‘sales people’. My first experience with them will be my last.

Whilst Ryanair is supposed to be a no frills airline, their service is shocking. On a flight to UK from Morocco and thought we might get a sandwich. They ran out of food half way down the plane. Normally, I would let it go but this isn't the first time. When you are cramped in for several hours, care should be taken to ensure food and drink are available surely? Other cheap airlines do.
